Dusit Thani Maldives has received a record consistent score of 97 percent — the highest score ever achieved in the Maldives — in the prestigious Food Safety Asia (FSA) Commendation Awards for the second year in a row.
Presented early this month, this award reinforces the safety standards in place, as well as recognising the kitchen team for their commitment to ensuring the highest quality of food preparation.
“To be awarded with a consistently high score for the second year in a row is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the entire kitchen team,” Cameron Steele, the Executive Chef at Dusit Thani Maldives, was quoted in a statement, as saying.
“I am extremely proud of their onging commitment to our food quality and safety standards.”
FSA is the first registered company in the Maldives practicing impartial and independent food preparation and safety systems auditing. The FSA Commendation Awards recognise and commend companies that have shown exceptional standards in food hygiene and HACCP and who adhere to the highest levels of food safety standards.
Companies must achieve an overall audit score consistently over 80-85 percent in order to be nominated.
