Amilla Fushi has announced an exclusive jewellery academy with artist and goldsmith Patrik Muff.
Jewels with the desired MUFF-stamp stand for extraordinary art of goldsmithing, passion for the handcraft and baroque ornamentation with a bit of punk and pomp. The creative mind behind all this is the swiss-born artist Patrik Muff who will conduct an extraordinary luxury academy at Amilla Fushi from May 19-31.
He has also designed an exclusive signature piece which reflects the uniqueness of this exceptional place. The signature piece can only be ordered at Patrik Muff.
Patrik Muff draws his inspiration by observing people and nature, especially when travelling. As part of the jewellery academy at Amilla Fushi, he wants to share new perspectives and introduce his participants into a world of boundless possibilities.
In conformity with nature, Patrik Muff decided to use the ancient technique of molding with sepia. Therefore, the backbones of an octopus, which is a natural product often found at the beaches of the Indian Ocean, are used as a negative form. The shell is extremely hard but the inside is soft, so that little shapes and objects can be dented and carved into the sepia.
After adding sprues into the negative form, both halves of the sepia are sealed and the hollow space in-between will be filled with liquid metal. The structure of the sepia bone then leaves a significant surface structure on the jewellery piece. The outcome is unique chain pendants with beautiful ocean motifs.
For the exclusive jewellery academy, Amilla Fushi has introduced a special package from May 18 to June 1.
Those booking the package will fly with Emirates from Munich to Amilla Fushi and reside 13 nights in one of the elegant Beach Villas. During their stay, they will enjoy three hours at the jewellery academy with Patrik Muff. The package, which starts at 7,390 Euros (USD 9,063), also includes one self-made piece of jewellery.
