Amaya Kuda Rah Maldives has held a unique fashion show featuring costumes created out of reused and natural materials found on the island.
This event was in line with the continuous efforts by the resort to instil environmental awareness to its associates. It was part of the staffs’ gathering for the month of April, which is also considered as Earth Month.
As per the resort, this event does not only showcase environmental awareness but also encourage creativity and camaraderie amongst its associates.
“We aim to inspire our staffs to preserve and protect the environment through regular activities such as reef cleaning and tree planting, as well as do special events during our monthly gathering that would focus on going green,” a statement issued by the resort read.
Amaya Kuda Rah Maldives pledges to actively participate in worldwide environmental events such as Earth Hour, Earth Month and World Environment Day that are celebrated annually. The resort recognises the importance of protecting the environment and seeks to enhance its environmental performance to become a “green” resort.
